Sweet Scripture Sunday!!!

As for man his days are like grass,
he flourishes like a flower of the field;
the winds blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.
But from everlasting to everlasting,
the Lord's love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with
their chidren's children-
with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.

Psalm 103:15-18

What a wonderful Bible Promise!

Be blessed today!

Sweet Scripture Sunday!!!

My Granddaughters came in yesterday with a tomato in hand.
They were so excited, yet a little disappointed at finding only one tomato!
One beautiful red tomato sits alone on the shelf over my sink.
The plants are hanging full of fruit, but only one tomato was ripe and ready!
How much longer before they are ready?
Can we eat the green ones?
Will they be ready tomorrow, Nana?
Trying to explain to them things like this take time was not an easy task.
I am sure they will go to the garden each day (while they are here) to see if another tomato is ready.

In Galatians Chapter 6 verses 9 and 10.
Paul reminds us that things or people do not always change overnight (as we want them to).

"Let us not grow weary in doing good,
for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
 Therefore, as we have opportunity,
let us do good to all people,
especially to those who belong to the family of believers."

Gardening is such a busy job and requires much work.
We plant.,
 we weed,
 we water,
 we weed,
  we water,
and just when you are ready to give up.......
.....then comes the harvest.

Much the same way is our labor for the Kingdom,
with one exception, we do not always get to reap the harvest,
yet, we are still to do the work.
The ministry I have had part in over the past several years
can be very stressful and tiring.
 Pouring your life into individuals
who time and time again walk back to the ways of the world (drugs, alcohol, poverty).
and then.......
You see it.....
Or hear of it.......
After hours and days of labor......
They get it!
They want it!
A life changes in an instant.

Just like that one beautiful red tomato on my shelf,
the harvest of a soul is a beautiful thing.
A display of God's love and Power!

Even though you did not get reap the harvest you know your labor was not in vain.

To all my blogger friends.
Never give up!
Do not grow Weary.
Keep on doing good.
and in due season the harvest will come.

Given to me by the family of a 17 year old who was to addicted to heroin.
I spent so much time and effort with her and almost gave up so many times.
Today, she is a Christian and is clean!!!! Yahoooo!
I am glad I continued to labor for her soul.
A harvest for the Kingdom.

Blessings!

Sweet Scripture Sunday!!!

I will bless them
and the places surrounding my hill.
I will send down showers in season;
there will be showers of blessings!
Ezekiel 34:26 NIV

All around the country many are experiencing life-threatening floods.
While others are experiencing the consuming fires of drought.
In the above Scripture,
Ezekiel uses rain as an effective symbolism for the power of life God has promised to His people who obey and follow His commands (His Word).

I have seen the effects of a rain shower in my garden.
It seems I can water and water my veggies and flowers with a garden hose,
but it is after a rain shower they seem to come to life!

It is the same way with the Word of God.

In this scripture God has said I will send "showers in season".
Just as the Autumn rains, signal the beginning of the upcoming Winter Season.
The rain falls and so does the foliage.
Everything becomes bare and sleeps.
A time of rest and hibernation......
A time of peace.
Then comes the Spring rains awakening creation.
Trees become green and flowers bloom.
Creation comes to Life!
In the same way,
the Word of God brings peace and life to us!
It is not just about reading the Word,
but allowing the Word to personally affect us!.
The Word of God is full of promises (blessings)!
The Word of God has an answer to whatever "season" we may be going through in our lives.
If you need rest and peace..........
You will find it in the Word!
If you need a time of refreshing...
You will find it in the Word!
Start your day with the Word.
Allow it not only to refresh your life,
but to change your life,
and you can be sure the forecast will call for
"showers of blessings"!
Be Blessed!

Welcome to My Garden.....

Good Morning America!

and

Welcome to My Garden.......

My friends kid me and say you have more flowers than veggies, but it is not true.  I have lots of Veggies and they are looking good.....so far.

I was excited this morning, "I have Beans"!

And the cabbage looks good!

I have several types of Peppers, Banana, hot banana and Jalapeno.

And lets not forget the Tomatoes!!!!

See the little weed hiding out around my tomato plant?

The Roma's are loaded and looking good!  They are my favorite.

Gardening reminds me of our Spiritual life.   Much like we have to work the soil, pulls the weeds, water and fertilize the plants when needed to reap the harvest.  We also have to work our spiritual life much the same way.

Our Spiritual food is the Word of God.
It fertilizes and gives us Life!

We need the "Son" living inside us to bring light to the Word...and we grow!

Grow in love.

Grow in Peace.

Grow in Patience, Kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control!

We yield a Crop and others begin to reap the benefits of our harvest!

The Fruit of the Spirit.

And let's not forget to weed regularly.  The weeds are the (sin) we may have in our lives!
Do not allow the weeds to overtake you!
Pull weeds everyday for a beautiful garden.

Blessings and May your garden grow both physically and Spiritually!

Sweet Scripture Sunday!!!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

From the writings of Paul in I Peter 1:2-9NIV

Grace and peace be yours in abundance!

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ for the dead,
and into an inheritance that can never perish,
spoil, or fade--kept in heaven
for you who through faith are shielded by God's power
until the coming of the salvation
that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
 In this you greatly rejoice,
though now for a little while
you may have to suffer grief and all kinds of trials.
These have come so that your faith-
of greater worth than gold,
which perishes even though refined by fire-
may be proved geninuine and may result in
praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
Though you have not seen him, you love him;
and evn though you do not see him now,
you believe in him
and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,
for you are receiving the goal of your faith
the salvation of yours souls!

God's grace freely bestowed upon all those who believe!
How Wonderful!

In America, we have the freedom to worship where we want,
How we want,
and when we want!

Enjoy your Freedom!

To God be the Glory!

Blessings!
