Sweet Scripture Sunday.....

"Let no one despise your youth,
but be an example to the believers in word,
in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
I Tim 4:12

Today we celebrated
as our Granddaughter Sydney Grace was baptised
by her father (who is a Pastor)
and her Poppy (who is a Pastor).

It was a very cold day outside
but inside
our hearts were warmed by Sydney's
decision to follow her Lord
in the act of Baptism.

Also baptised today was Sydney's cousin, Rachel.
Rachel is a wonderful 15 year old.
She shared today how
she was saved several years ago
during a VBS-Vacation Bible School.
She felt the Lord "tugging" at her heart
to be obedient in baptism.

 "For You are my hope,
O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth.
By You I have been upheld from birth;
You are He who took me out of my mother's womb.
My praise shall be continually of You."
Psalm 71:5-6

I know you have not heard much from me lately,
but this was to good not to share........

May this day find all of you richly blessed!

Blessings!

Patty

Update on Amy:

Amy is doing really well.
She is in therapy and will be released
to come home in a week or so.
She had adjusted to her injuries
and is working hard.
She has had a big weight loss
and needs to gain some weight.
Please continue to pray for her.

  1. Whenever I read things like this, I get all weepy like an old lady. So many things go through my mind --- my own childhood, the day I was baptised, and how wonderful it is to see young people today making the decision to be obedient and follow the Lord's example in baptism. This was just a beautiful way to end the day -- and I loved the verses you shared. Thank you!

  5. A truly blessed day for you! Your scripture, Timothy 4:12, also holds special meaning for us. My 14 yr. old was confirmed today along with 14 of her "Team 4:12" youth group friends. Timothy 4:12 is their mantra as a group!

  8. How awesome to see children give their lives to serving God. There is nothing more precious.

Thank you so much for the update on Amy. I continue to pray for her and will keep her in my prayers always. I, too, lost much weight. When I came home after my hospital stay, I weighed 87 pounds. After I got home, and started eating Granny's cooking, I gained. :-)

    God bless you all.
