Sweet Scripture Sunday......

Don't you just love "BOLD" decorating.....

Oh these beautiful "bold" colored cushions....
What they could do for a room...

In decorating we can see how a small pop of a "bold" color
 can completely change a room..

Simply Beautiful!
In the same way,
When we are "Bold" for Christ....
What it does for ones life can be simply amazing....

This picture is a blend of a group of young people
who spent several days at the rescue mission we ran.
There are six women sitting among them..
Six women who they "boldly" shared their faith with..
Six women who will never be the same after meeting
such "bold and brave" young people.
Young people who worked hard painting, cleaning and clearing land..
all the while singing, praying, praising and proclaiming
The good news of Jesus!

Simply Beautiful!

The book of Acts of filled with "bold" moments!

In chapter 4, after Peter and John are released from jail..
(By the way they were jailed for "boldly" speaking about Jesus!)

They went back to their own people.
And shared what they had been told
"Do not share the good
news of Jesus again...."
What did they do?
They prayed for "BOLDNESS"!
Asking God to use them in great ways among the people...
What happened?

"After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke
the word of God boldly"
Acts 4:31

Boldness is not reckless impulse..
Boldness requires courage
to press on through our fears
and to do what we know is right!

"Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house,
they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news
that Jesus is Christ!"
Acts 5:42

We should live as Christ has asked us to:
Sharing our faith-
No matter the cost!

Are you being "BOLD" in your faith?

Blessings of boldness to you today!

Patty

  8. Thank you so much for sharing this and encouraging me! I am more of a shy, reserved person by nature so boldness is hard for me and doesn't come naturally. I am working on it :)

Such lovely images - those rooms are gorgeous!

  9. Thanks for sharing this - I need it! I am shy, not bold! But we can all find our own ways to be more bold in faith.. and I will work on that. I love the comparisons (colors so beautiful) and this entire post! Have a blessed week.. -Tammy

  12. What a great post! My husband and I are in a season of our lives where Christ is calling us to be bold as well. We believe that God is calling us to be part of a church plant and to reach out to those in our community that are not being reached.

We are a part of a great church, but we want to go deeper....to know God more and to live radically for him. Many in our current church are content to say they minister, but refuse to get out of their comfort zone. For example, we have an awesome food ministry, but not one single person comes to our church as a result of it. My husband said it best: "They are content to give people food, but don't want those same people to sit at the table and eat with them". There is something very wrong with this!

Sorry for such a long comment, but something about this post stirred my heart even more.

Continue to be BOLD...you are an inspiration!

  14. I think it is hard to be Bold like I should. Funny how you use color to compare our boldness. I am even scared to be bold with color in my decorating :)
