Sweet Sunday Scripture

This was the view from my dining room window this morning...

So peaceful...

I cannot believe how much everything has grown.
we have been so busy working inside the house
that the outside....
well...
the flowers would have to make it on their own...
and make it.....
they did!

no watering...
no fertilizer....
no mulch...
very little weeding...

On this Lord's day I am reminded....

Matthew 6:25-30 NIV

"therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life,
what you will eat or drink; or about your body,
what you will wear. Is not life more important than food,
and the body more important than clothes?
Look at the birds of the air;
they do not sow or reap or store away in barns,
and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not MUCH more VALUABLE than they?
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
And why do you worry about clothes?
See how the lilies of the field grow.
They do not labor or spin,
Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
If that is how God clothes the grass of the field,
which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire,
will he not much more clothe you,.....

So many things going on right now in our lives....

Two mortgages....
double utilities.....
Insurance....
Need to sell our other home...
things to do at the new house....

All I had to do was look out my window

and I am reminded....

God is in control....

The same God who created all this beauty around me
and created me...
and provides for and takes care of all of this...
without me doing anything....

can be trusted with the details of my life....

What a relief....

May you be reminded today of God's provision and watch care!

Summer Blessings!

Patty

I am so thankful for a God who knows and supplies all of my needs before I even know I have them.

    Summer blessings to you too.

  6. Hi Patty,

What a beautiful place where you live! It's easy to look out there and feel God's presence! I had no idea you had all the things going on you mentioned...didn't realize you had the two homes still. I will pray about these with you. But what an inspiration you are. Actually worry doesn't add anything to our lives...it's an added responsibility that God didn't intend for us to have. He's got it all under control.

Blessings to you and your family, Patty. Have a wonderful summer too!

    Hugs,
    Tammy

  7. This is one of my favorite scriptures. It says it all. Praying for you some relief here. God has a plan, we both know it. I have decided He wants me to stay put. I extended my contract for 3 mos., then I am done. What a beautiful picture out your dining room window. I could enjoy a cup of coffee out there.
