Sweet Sunday Scripture....

I love to plant in unusual things....
planting succulents in old shoes or boots
is one of my fave things to do...
They grow so well...
Are easy to take care of.....
and are just plain adorable....

This pair of "wild" colored high heels was one of my favorite pair of shoes....
I know what you are thinking........
Yes, I wore them.....
Loved them!!!
BUT....
Just not the most comfortable these days.....
SO.....
I planted in them....

I still get to enjoy them....
All dressed up and sitting in my garden....

Just walking through my garden
"sweeps me off my feet"
Such enjoyment....

I am sure you have heard the song....
"These boots were made for walking"
Well, these were made for planting...

As I stroll through my garden....
picking weeds....
watering and nurturing my flowers...
Seeing my unusual planters that once feet walked in.....
I am reminded of what the Bibles says about our feet....

Yes our feet are very important.....

Where they go!

What they do!

Psalm 37:23
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD,
And He delights in his way.”
(NKJV)

This means that we should take off the shoes of the world and put on the

spiritual shoes God has given us.

 2 Corinthians 5:7
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
(NIV)

Meaning, we can walk by faith if we
believe, if we obey, and if we act
according to God's Word and ways.

And one of my Favorites.....

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion,
"Your God reigns!"

Isaiah 52:7

And Paul refers to this same Word in Romans....

Romans 10:15
And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent?
That is why the Scriptures say,
"How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!"

Meaning there is nothing more beautiful than those who
share the Good news of Jesus with others....

Wherever your week may lead you.....

Whatever you may do....

May the Good News of Jesus go with you.....

Be Beautiful!!!

Blessings!

Patty

  4. How beautiful are the feet on the mountains that bring good news and proclaim peace and good tidings!
I was thinking of this verse...and then there it was.
I'm over joyed that I could remember that much of it!
Love this post, I know your garden isn't getting to EVERYTHING you want this year...as you've just moved here. But how wonderful to have little treasure placed around that put a smile on your face. I love whimsy. And anything that brings Glory to God and recall of his word...can't be bad AT ALL!
have a blessed day my friend.

  10. What a lovely message! I also really like your unique planters. I never would have thought to use an old pair of shoes for succulents, but now I have to try it! It looks so neat!

  12. What a beautiful post and such a great analogy! I've had dreams over the past year about not being able to find my shoes. You think there's a message there?
I wish I could may something grow. The Lord has been doing some pruning in me:)
