Sweet Sunday Scripture....

For the Lord gives skillful and godly Wisdom;
from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

In my back yard stands one of many huge Maple trees.
Its branches spread out over the yard....
as you can see I have a swing for our youngest little one
hanging from a branch....

When I see this tree I cannot help to think
as it has stood throughout a lifetime
What it has seen....
The storms it has stood in....
The people who have sit under it...
climbed it...
The conversations it has heard...

If it were human...
the wisdom it would possess....

Of course I just had to hang this old face
on the tree....
Kinda gives him personality...
Makes him seem as if he could talk to you.....
The Grands call him the old man tree...
:)

There are times we all need a little wise counsel...
A little wisdom..

The most important thing is who we seek counsel from....
There are always those who are willing to share thier thoughts..

The Bible says:

If any of you is deficient in wisdom,
let him ask of the giving God
[Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly,
without reproaching or faultfinding,
and it will be given him.
James 1: 5  (NKJV)

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure,
then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield,
full of mercy and good fruits,
without partiality and without hypocrisy.
James 3: 17 (NKJV)

Pretty good advice...
Don't you think...

As situations arise in your life this week....
and you find yourself needing a little wisdom...
Why not try God....
His counsel and advice can be found in
The Bible...
I have always found his counsel to never fail..

BLESSINGS!

PATTY

  4. That tree does look big! I like the face you put on it - reminds me of a tree at my husband's grandpa's house that has one similar to that :) Thanks for the great reminder about trusting God's wisdom as well!

  8. Girl, your post went right along with my week! Thank you Lord! When I saw your verses I nearly fell outta my chair!! Wish you could see my notes...-- I seriously love when this happens! Definitely praying for wisdom....
I was thinking about what you said; it's important "who" we seek counsel from. That's key isn't it.
