Sweet Sunday Scripture...

THE LORD HAS COME!

This time of the  year can be very busy.....
busy shopping days,
via businessinsider.com
holiday baking,

and decorations......

Our schedule can be very hectic....
Parties and events......

Sending out cards to family and friends....

We hears songs of "holiday cheer"......

But in the weeks before we celebrate the Savior's birth
Why is it we feel such stress and anxiety instead of cheer?

I believe it is a matter of time........
or how we spend our time....
Take some quality time this season to prepare your heart.
Take time to remember.....

The reason for the season.......

"...the Angel said to them ...
I bring you good news of great joy.
It is for all the people.

Today in the town of David
a Savior has been born to you.

 He is Christ the Lord."

Luke 2:10-12

And as you reflect  upon these precious truths...
I know it will change your holiday anxiety
into holiday cheer/joy!

JOY TO THE WORLD THE LORD HAS COME!!!!

May your days be Merry and Blessed!

CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS!

PATTY

  1. Hi Patty, I just sat down to do some visiting and was going to come to your blog when you stopped by. WOW how unreal. Love this post. It is so true as we all are so busy with the hustle of the season, but in the end all that really matters is the knowing why we do what we do and the reason for the season. We celebrate the birth of our Savior and our hope for the future.
Love your pics and the beautiful nativity.
Wishing you a great week. Hugs and Blessings!

  2. Amen, Patty! Jesus is the reason for the season! We didn't have church either....these forecasts have been a little off...not as bad except Friday was very bad! My hubby left the house fri. morn at 3:15 and didn't return home until 8:30 that evening. He is a truck driver and I was praying he would be safe as well as my son and brother and others!! God is so good.....JOY unspeakable! Blessings~~~Roxie

  3. Thank you again Patty! We all need to do this and I am certainly TRYING! Trying being the key word. Usually I don't get so stressed about it and try to just enjoy. This year it has been a bit harder. Miss my dog under my feet and actually miss going to the Nursing Home! Joy to the World, yes. and we are all so blessed.

  4. Oh, Patti, I love the wooden blocks. Yes, I am trying to slow down this Christmas and appreciate the Reason for the season. I am sitting with an elderly lady for only 12 hours a week so Christmas will be simple. My mom and dad are gone. My brother lives in another town. I will enjoy my husband's family and my sister's children and we don't do gifts. My children will be home so that will be Christmas to me. Hope yours is a merry one.

  6. Oooh, your baked goods look yummy! It can be a stressful time I think because we just try to do too much. It's hard to not get caught up in the commercialism of the season, but we all need to remember why we are celebrating in the first place!

  11. Great post, so true. Jesus is the reason for the season. Sometimes we get so caught up in trying to make others happy, we seem to forget that for a little while. God Bless you Patty and your ministry. Blessings, Trisha
