Sweet Sunday Scripture.....

We are still covered in snow here in Kentucky......
The Winter Season has hung on with a vengeance......

There is just something so beautiful and peaceful about a snow covered World...

It brings with it a season of rest........
It makes us slow down.........

Now don't get me wrong....
It is cold...
It is slippery...
I know many of you have had more than your share........

why is it you have to wear your sunglasses in the Winter?
That just does not seem right....

Winter has it own special color palette.
The color wheel of the universe
gets all covered up
with a blanket of snow........
and falls to sleep......
and rests.....

The waiting begins.....

Can't you hear them singing....

"where have all the flowers gone
long time passing..."

Poor little boy and girl.....
Just standing there.....
Waiting Patiently....
Ready to receive what a new season brings....

Don't give up........
Spring is on her way!

Take time to enjoy the slower days of Winter...
Prepare your heart for the next season......
You never know what tomorrow may bring...
So enjoy today....

Song of Solomon 2:11-13
For behold, the winter is past;
the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth,
the time of singing has come,
and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.
The fig tree ripens its figs,
and the vines are in blossom;
they give forth fragrance.
Arise, my love, my beautiful one,
and come away.

God knows exactly what He is doing........

Snow day Blessings to you!

I am joining up with...

  1. Patty, Many winter blessings to you!
    Spring on the way!!!!
    Snow snow go away,

  2. Oh so true and beautiful! Your home is so pretty! And yes winter is a wonderful time to slow down and cuddle inside! My beans are enjoying crackling fires and popcorn on these cold Chicago nights! All the best to you!!! Nicole

  3. Hi Patty! Love the pictures! I do enjoy the snow :) Have a great weekend.

  4. I love your little boy and girl just standing there so forlornly waiting for those flowers--so cute! We are covered with snow and expecting more tomorrow night. Stay warm, friend!

  5. Oh, Patty, what a fun post. I am tired of winter and looking forward to spring. If it weren't for these nasty winters, spring wouldn't be as sweet coming. All this snow is full of nitrogen and will make the best flowers when they pop through the ground. Yes, there is a reason for everything.
Sunglasses for the glare of the white. I also wear mine in the fog. It really helps. Have a fun weekend and a blessed Sunday.

  6. Such a sweet post. Love your snowman! Cracked me up :)

  7. Patty, you took the words right out of my mouth....God knows what he is doing! One thing I can say too......it does slow things down, and that is a good thing. I hope you show pictures of your garden this Spring/Summer....Blessings~~~Roxie

  8. Hi Patty,

Everything looks so pretty in a blanket of snow! I hope you are staying warm. Time for a cup of cocoa :-)

  9. Love your post Patty. I so agree, I've been enjoying some restful time this winter. I'll be energized and ready to go when spring arrives.

  10. I'm enjoying the snow we have, but if I'm going to make another batch of ice cream, I'll need some fresh snowfall. ~smile~

  11. That's just about the coolest snowman ever. Love the shades! ;-)

  12. I know spring is coming, but it's so hard when winter just keeps hanging on! This really is one for the record books. And I have to say I like the snowman with the sunglasses! :)

  13. What cute metal sculptures and love the snowman. I'm still enjoying our brief snowstorm, although it is warming and melting a bit now. Love the classic Pete Seeger tune as well. Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

  14. You've changed your look. I like it either way. I really, really like the pitcher with the blue in that last photo. I'm green with envy:) Yes, I want the snow. White just makes me feel at peace and I don't mind because I'm not working and it will be lovely just to sit and open the Word and the windows (I mean, blinds!) with a cup of coffee.

  15. I agree it has been a crazy winter but ... your photos are beeeautiful and snowblessings to you too friend!!!

  16. Even here in Texas we have had colder than usual weather and more threats of ice too. Crazy! Your pictures are stunning. Thank you for following me. I am following you back!

  17. Beautiful pictures and yes, I am tired of winter. Bone weary as a matter of fact.

  18. "Winter is past"! A favorite Bible verse right now, for sure! We will finally make it to 33 degrees tomorrow after many days below freezing and nights below zero!

  19. Hi Patty, What amazing photos -very still and peaceful. I think all seasons are delightful and snow is just fine as long as it doesn´t last too long.

  20. Snowing her in North Carolina too. Great snowy photos...stay warm!

  21. Patty, I am just waiting for the song of the turtle. We've got lots of snow here, but I'm expecting warmer weather starting tomorrow. Your pictures are lovely. Keep cozy!

  22. Stopped by for a breathe of "fresh" air and that's exatly what i got! Thanks for this inspiring post!!! :): WIth smiles! V
