Sweet Sunday Scripture.....

We are still covered in snow here in Kentucky......
The Winter Season has hung on with a vengeance......

Still.......
There is just something so beautiful and peaceful about a snow covered World...

It brings with it a season of rest........
It makes us slow down.........
stop......

Now don't get me wrong....
It is cold...
It is slippery...
And.....
I know many of you have had more than your share........

why is it you have to wear your sunglasses in the Winter?
That just does not seem right....

right?

Winter has it own special color palette.
The color wheel of the universe
gets all covered up
with a blanket of snow........
and falls to sleep......
and rests.....

The waiting begins.....

Can't you hear them singing....

"where have all the flowers gone
long time passing..."

Poor little boy and girl.....
Just standing there.....
Waiting Patiently....
Ready to receive what a new season brings....

Don't give up........
Spring is on her way!

Take time to enjoy the slower days of Winter...
Prepare your heart for the next season......
You never know what tomorrow may bring...
So enjoy today....

Song of Solomon 2:11-13
For behold, the winter is past;
the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth,
the time of singing has come,
and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.
The fig tree ripens its figs,
and the vines are in blossom;
they give forth fragrance.
Arise, my love, my beautiful one,
and come away.

God knows exactly what He is doing........
meanwhile......

Snow day Blessings to you!

I am joining up with...

  4. I love your little boy and girl just standing there so forlornly waiting for those flowers--so cute! We are covered with snow and expecting more tomorrow night. Stay warm, friend!

  5. Oh, Patty, what a fun post. I am tired of winter and looking forward to spring. If it weren't for these nasty winters, spring wouldn't be as sweet coming. All this snow is full of nitrogen and will make the best flowers when they pop through the ground. Yes, there is a reason for everything.
Sunglasses for the glare of the white. I also wear mine in the fog. It really helps. Have a fun weekend and a blessed Sunday.

  12. I know spring is coming, but it's so hard when winter just keeps hanging on! This really is one for the record books. And I have to say I like the snowman with the sunglasses! :)

  13. What cute metal sculptures and love the snowman. I'm still enjoying our brief snowstorm, although it is warming and melting a bit now. Love the classic Pete Seeger tune as well. Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

  14. You've changed your look. I like it either way. I really, really like the pitcher with the blue in that last photo. I'm green with envy:) Yes, I want the snow. White just makes me feel at peace and I don't mind because I'm not working and it will be lovely just to sit and open the Word and the windows (I mean, blinds!) with a cup of coffee.
