Sweeet Sunday Blessings......

All around my yard you will see this fence......
As I was mowing very close along the fence boundary a few days ago....

Something caught my attention.....
Can you see it?

With a closer look....
You can see these beautiful clusters of white flowers....
Trying to cross the boundary.......
Trying to make access into the yard......
Peeking through....
As if saying....
"let us in".......

Or perhaps they are waving....
inviting me.....
enticing me.....
To come on over.....
To come see what is on the other side.....

These lacy clusters are called Queen Anne's Lace........

Queen Anne's lace is found in fields, meadows, waste areas
roadsides and disturbed habitats...
They are very hardy and thrive in a dry environment....

Each beautiful round cluster is made up of tiny white flowers...
resembling a crocheted piece of lace....
Such perfection.......

When you look over the fence.....
you will see entwined among the Queen Anne's Lace
This beautiful sky blue blossoms
They are call wild chicory.......

Both of these beautiful flowers are in full bloom in the fields
and all along the roadsides in Kentucky.....

Who would have thought....
On the other side of my fence
I would find a garden....
A garden....
 I did not plant.....
One I did not expect....
One of complete perfection and beauty.....

Even the Thistle is a standout on the other side of the fence...

Look at the beautiful pink color...
The shape of the dried thistle....
If I worked tirelessly..
I could never get a flower to do that on its own....
No, this was at the hand of a Master Gardner

Flowers to remind me......

Matthew 6:38-30
"And why worry about your clothes?
See how the lilies of the field grow.
They do not labor or spin.
Yet I tell you that not even Solomon
in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
IF that is how God clothes the grass of the field,
which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire,
will he not much more clothe you.....

Thanks Father....
For the Flowers....
and the reminder....

Be reminded today!
He Cares for you!

BLESSINGS!

  2. Love the look of Queen Anne's lace in bloom. Such intricate little flowers all making up on large lace doily. We were out for a ride earlier today and was noticing so much of it in the roadside up here too.

  3. You think like I do! There are so many beautiful flowers that we call weeds and yet we spend money on flowers that grow so beautifully around us without us planting them! I love that scripture too! Thanks for sharing! Diane

  8. And some people consider these "weeds"! They're so beautiful, aren't they? and those three colors look lovely together. Blessings to you, and thank you for reminding us of the beauty the Lord creates for us to enjoy.

  10. Beautiful thoughts, beautiful photos...

Why do we 'often' discard as weeds, what we deem as weeds - when there is some true intricate beauty even there? Our God is amazing!! The Creator of ALL things...
I've said the same thing about my the Wild Morning Glories, here at my place. They choke out all kinds of things in their viciousness... but at the same time - they're beautiful, a beautiful white, and delicately made and yet, I do my best to rid them...

  11. Hi, Patty! Love your photos! We have the chicory and lace here, too, in abundance! I love the blue and white together and here we have clover growing along the edges on the roadsides and its so pretty all together. There are wild orange day lilies, too, every now and then.
    Have a great week!

  14. So beautiful --
God truly is The Master Gardener. The flowers are beautiful. I think of my Granny when I see Queen Anne's Lace-- and her wearing a pure white gown, spotless and righteous; I miss her, but know one day I'll see her again.
Your thistle caught my eye. Ours are purple here!

  16. great minds and all that...snort!...just yesterday I posted about Queen Anne's Lace, chickory and some others. Why worry indeed? I suppose I, sometimes, worry because my memory is faulty. God is able, has proven Himself (a very gracious gift indeed!) over and over. I want to worry now...I want the farm buyers to appear so I can look for a place near my family...it's difficult but God has a plan and I choose to trust Him so worry...begone!
