Simply Christmas......

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas....
around our Farmhouse..
I simply love Christmas time!
Don't you.......

I tell myself each year...
I am going to start early...
Get things done...
take my time...
enjoy the season...
Once again...
Time has simply flown by.....

I really wanted a 'live" tree this year...
This is as good as it gets..
Its only 3 ft...
That works for me....
I love my little piece of "realness"....
It smells so good....
Don't you just love the old antique tree stand....

and the old skates...
I bought those years ago for $5.00...
I have enjoyed using them for Christmas...
and they work for my Winter décor too.
Double Whammy!

My Willow Creek Nativity is finally up...
Its just not Christmas without it.
Around here...
Christmas begins with it..
My two youngest daughters bought it for me...
Which  makes it even more special
I cherish it!

The old blue piece that it sits on....
My hubby made 25 years ago.
He is such a great carpenter...
Its one of my favs...
I have painted it many times...
and it has traveled around the world with us...

I am determined to keep things simple this year....
My living area fireplace.....
Loving it!

 My Dining area..
The old door that hangs sideways...
came out of a an old church....
of course, my hubby made the serving table...
It holds my old pitchers and farm baskets....

I love adding a little nativity in unexpected places...
Don't you......

I will always remember....
"Jesus is the reason for the season"...

My big tree....
It is going to be very simple this year...
I am not getting all the ornaments out...
Here is the ribbon I am using...

Stay tuned...
There's More to come....

Meanwhile...
We are Simply Celebrating Christmas....

CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS!

Isaiah 9:6

  13. You and I would get along wonderfully!! White dishes, simple country touches and a 3 ft live tree!! I purchased a live tree this year and cut it off so that it will fit in a crock I wanted to use as the holder. It has to open its branches yet, but I will be sharing that another day. Stopping in from Amaze me Monday. Love your decor!!
