Sweet Scripture Sunday....

Update on Amy:

Carolyn (Amy's Mom) Amy (with the beautiful dark hair) and sophie (Amy's little dog).

Amy is still in the ICU.
She not only has the amputation to deal with
all three of the other limbs are broken.
The brake in her right arm will require surgery.
She is on a vent.
She is still not breathing on her own.
Apparently when she was slung 200 yards
into a tree.
She took a blunt force hit to her chest,
Which has affected her lungs.
She has a long road ahead.
When they found Amy,
they had to cut some of her beautiful hair
which was entangled in limbs.

Please continue to pray.
She does not know about anything that has happen
to her boyfriend, his family
or to her body.
She needs a touch from God at this time.
That's the wonderful thing about the Blog family.
I know you will pray.
I told Carolyn there were people praying for her all
over the United States.
She was so humbled and excited!

Be joyful in hope,
patient in affliction,
faithful in prayer.

Romans 12:12

Thank you!

  1. You know I will be praying. If you don't mind, I would like to post Amy's story on my blog for more prayer.
The last time you posted, Eric was in ICU, too. Is he still there?

  2. Please let them know that we are praying for all of them. This is so sad. We had tornado warnings here too but thankfully just rain and high winds. This just breaks my heart. So glad that you are safe. This family is in our thoughts and prayers.

  3. Praying Patty. what a beautiful girl. Please keep us posted.

  4. Adding my prayers for this beautiful girl and her family!

  5. I'm so glad I stopped by tonight to catch up, just so I can be praying, too. My heart is breaking for all those that went through this horrible nightmare. Please keep us updated! And please let them know that we are all praying!

  6. Praying for Amy and all concerned...blessings

  7. Patty... I will be praying for the healing of Amy and her boyfriend, and for God to keep giving Carolyn strength to sustain her for the days to come. My heart breaks over their story. I am glad that Carolyn knows that their are so many people praying for her and her family... Thank you Patty for giving us the opportunity to put in a caring word. Bless you all!

  8. I am praying for Amy and her family and I am praying for Eric too. I know that he lost is folks in this horrific storm but his folks are with him and the Lord and the Lord is with Amy too, and all the families and towns that this storm went through.
Praying and Please keep us updated and please let Amy's Mom know that here on blogland there are a lot of us PRAYING. It is the most powerful tool we have. BELIEVE in his word.

  9. This just breaks my heart...it's unbelievable that these things happen isn't it....that 'weather' can cause this much sadness and sorrow in ones life.
I'm praying for Amy and her family...God will walk with her.

  10. Oh my goodness Patty, I missed your past post so went back and read it! How tragic for Amy's family. I will be praying for her and Eric and his family! We have had horrible tornados her in Oklahoma City and I am always mindful that what we have including our lives can be lost in an instant with these type of storms. I will continue for Amy's continued healing and your community! I count my blessings every time a storm passes.
Praying that your community can get things cleaned up quickly...hearts aren't as easy to mend if they have lost someone. I am sure you have been a source of comfort and encouragement to many of the families affected.

Thanks for your sweet visit...to answer your question about dish storage-I have lots of storage in my home for which I am thankful!
    Miss Bloomers

  11. I am so sorry about Amy.How is she doing? I cant even begin to know how her mother feel's but I will be praying for this sweet family.

  12. Yes I will still pray. And thank you for posting a picture. It's so much nicer to put a face with a prayer.

  13. I am not far from the area of the tornadoes and high winds you experienced. I tried to email you but I get an error message. Would you mind to email me, please, at plumhollowblog@gmail.com? I am an amputee (at age 18), was on a ventilator and comatose for over two months and hospitalized for ten months plus a few years of rehabilitation. I am able offer some support and knowledge just because I've had 30 years of experience in this life.

  14. I am just getting caught up with reading blogs...I will have Amy in my prayers every day... And her mom as well...Lisa

  15. I'm so sorry about your friend. Am praying now for her.

  16. I have been behind on my blog reading and I just want you to know that I will be praying for them. This is such devastating news and they do need a miracle. I will check back for updates.

  17. Praying for Amy. How is she doing now.
