Life can sometimes be a mess.....
Yes, in the midst of packing, unpacking and remodeling....
My husband and I get the stomach virus.....
(ie, lack of last Sunday post)
Not just us...but our daughter who was visiting during the past holiday weekend....
Our youngest daughter and her youngest too.....
It hit out of nowhere and put us in the bed.....
BLAH!
As we began to recover we went back to the packing, unpacking and remodeling....
AND.....
It is in the mess....
that God spoke....
I am still here.....
even in the midst of all this mess...
I have never left.....
I am still here.....
So I began to look at things a little closer..........
Through the eye of my camera lense.....
I saw beauty......
I was reminded by the Holy Spirit to look beyond my circumstances......
Look beyond the stacks and stacks of dishes, baskets, linens,,,,
See the beauty......
So I did........
and all the textures and colors came to life,,
It is in the midst of a mess.....
that we need more than ever to rely upon the Holy Spirit
to lead us day by day....
mess by mess.....
The fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22)
will cause our lives to shine with God
in the midst of every situation in our life....
good and bad....
Even if life is a mess......
A. W. Tozer wrote,
“The difference between a great Christian life and any other kind
lies in the quality of our religious concepts . . . "
You see,
What we believe about God
and His Word is how we will live our life,,,,
in the midst of a mess......
I choose to see beauty!
I choose life!
I choose to believe that God is with me....
Regardless of where life takes me....
Paul says it best:
Philippians 4:11-13
"I am not saying this because I am in need,
for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances,
I know what it is to be in need,
and I know what it is to have plenty.
I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation,
whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
I can do everything through Him who gives me strength"
I am not completely there yet....
but today...
I choose to see beauty in the midst of a mess...
