I do not know about you but everything at my house
seems to look a little better at Christmas.....
BUT.........
According to the American Psychological Association,
seven out of ten people feel stress from not having enough time
for their Christmas activities,
and the same number-69 percent to be exact-
worry about having enough money.
Over half those surveyed battle anxiety about
selecting the right presents for loved ones......
Not surprisingly, most of the stress falls on women.
According to the Psychological Association,
far more women stress over Christmas than men...
Let's face it....
We are the ones putting up the trees.
decorating the house..
making the goodies
buying the gifts....
wrapping the presents...
SOOOOOOOO Ladies......
as you are busy making things look a
"little more like Christmas",
take a little time to enjoy all your hard work......
Take time to experience a little "JOY" this Christmas....
After all....
Joy is what it is all about......
This Christmas for me.......
The joy of the Lord will be my strength....Nehemiah 8:10
This Christmas......
my soul shall be joyful in the Lord; it shall rejoice in His salvation.. Psalm 35:9
This is the Christmas.....
The Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it...Psalm 118:24
Plan in advance to be joyful and give joy.
Let us spread it like the lights and colors throughout our homes.....
Have a "JOYOUS" and blessed Christmas Season!
BLESSINGS!

So pretty! So Christmas! Blessings.
ReplyDeleteAw, I love this post. Great reminder of what the season is really about.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog!
No Christmas stress for me. I am 60 years old and I dont do all that Christmas stuff any more. My grandbabies get gifts but my grown children get gift cards. We do put up a small table top tree. Lighted wreath on the front door and we are done.

What a great post! It is so true that we Moms and wives are the caretakers and want everything to look nice at Christmas. I try not to stress anymore (except when I lose my favorite dishes-lol) about the holidays as it's not suppose to be about things but people and family and Christ! So first and foremost I want my family to be cared for so instead of setting pretty tables for company I do it for them! The decorations are just extra blessings but my family, faith and friends are what matters most! Thanks for reminding us to keep things in perspective!

Wish everyone could/would read this. I learned a long time ago, to relax and enjoy. It always gets done and if it doesn't , hey, what does it matter!

I just found your blog and joined it. I love it so much.
ReplyDeleteYou are right. We need to enjoy and remember what Christmas is about.
I have a blog and I have pics on there and i wrote what we do as a family even though our sons are 21 and 18.
I is one post down because I just posted about our youngest son's health issue he is having.
I pray that everyone sits back and enjoy Christmas like we all used too, in years pasted!
Christmas Blessings,
Tricia
Beautiful and encouraging words to go along with your lovely decorations. JOY is our school board's faith theme this year and i am trying to remember that as i go about our preparations. Thanks for your kind comment on my wooden spools and Santas collections. I just wish I could get better lighting there.
ReplyDeletethanks friend for visiting my blog...you have a very nice blog im following now blessings
ReplyDeleteVery sweet! I'm definitely one of those who gets overly stressed. :)
ReplyDeleteGood advice. I've been trying to take time for worship of my God who gave the greatest Gift. And I've found that has brought so much joy to an usually stressful time of the year.
