Well, Christmas has come and gone......
I am planning on keeping my Christmas decor
up a little while longer....
I love how it just seems to be the perfect filler to my home....
It just makes things beautiful!!!
After it is gone.....
well things just seem empty.......
A little garland of berries, sprig of greenery, Pine cones.........
they just complete the decor...
they just complete the decor...
They add color, flavor and just make me happy.......
The green and red and the natural of the pine cones....
Just seem so natural to my home....
The perfect touch to all the white dishes.......
I cannot help but to think of
the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer......
He is the perfect filler for our lives as Christians.....
Without him....
we are just empty.....
With him it is just a beautiful thing to see!
With him it is just a beautiful thing to see!
John 14:26
But the helper, the Holy Spirit,
Whom the Father will send in my name,
He will teach you all things and
bring to your remembrance
all that I have said to you...
bring to your remembrance
all that I have said to you...
HE does not come and go as the Christmas season has....
No, He comes in and takes up permanent residence in us!
When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior
We become His home......
We become His home......
He is what we need to make our lives complete.....
When we allow the Holy Spirit to empower our lives.....
It will affect all those around us.......
Just like the beautiful decor in our homes........
He is what empowers the Christian to be beautiful........
When we allow the Holy Spirit to empower our lives.....
It will affect all those around us.......
Just like the beautiful decor in our homes........
He is what empowers the Christian to be beautiful........
Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy,
peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control;
against such things there is no law.
The fruit of the Spirit
Makes us beautiful to others.....
Without the Holy Spirit it would be impossible to live this way.......
I pray that in my home
in my life....
in my posts....
I will always reflect the power
and the fruit of the Holy Spirit!
It is a beautiful thing!
Blessings!
PATTY

ReplyDeleteI recently found your blog and love it! Thank you for being so encouraging in your posts and always pointing to the Lord. This was a beautiful and encouraging post, thank you.

What a great post, Patty.
ReplyDeleteI pray that I would always reflect Jesus Christ in my home, life and speech too.
You have been that 'iron' for me since I've met you...I always feel as though, you have kept me sharpened. Thank you!
...now, I'm curious are you a Longaberger basket collector? Pat
Dear Patty,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post. You do reflect the love of The Holy Spirit. Congratulations on your followers growing! I'll double check to see that I'm following, too.
I understand about the colors and fillers in your home. I think I'll take down my big tree and replace it with my small tree. I'll fill it with snowmen. Perhaps I'll put a photo on my blog. Well, my eldest son just arrived for a visit. I'll speak with you again. God bless!

Hey Patty! Hope your Christmas was grand! I'm keeping my decor up for a while as well! Everything is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Patty, Oh, how I enjoyed this post on the Holy Spirit! I started reading a small book just a few days ago on the Holy Spirit by Stormie Omartian. So, so true....we need the Holy Spirit everyday of our life! If it weren't for the Holy Spirit guiding me through my "c" in 2009....I wouldn't be here! Your home is decorated so lovely...so warm and welcoming! Beautiful pieces of furniture, I must say!! I guess we are in this together for the long haul! Also, I had forgotten to post the pics of the new lights on the outside of the cottage....my Hubby wanted these so bad! I think he did a pretty good job picking them out....I was Pleased! If you get a chance, check them out. Blessings for a wonderful 2014, my sweet friend~~~Roxie
ReplyDeletePatty, I love your Christmas decor, but your words are oh so true. Hopefully my home reflects Him and His home in me. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you . Your sweet spirit radiates from this blog!
ReplyDeleteYour decorations look so cute. I wouldn't want to take them down either! Congrats on all the followers! That is very exciting :)
ReplyDeleteLovely post. You do show Him in all things. Keep your decor up all year. It looks so good.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your analogy to the Spirit.
ReplyDelete"Without him....
we are just empty.....
With him it is just a beautiful thing to see!"
Amen.
What a lovely post. It reminds me of an old hymn sung by Elvis Presley: Without Him I could do nothing
