As I sit and look out my window.......
This is what I see.....
Lots of snow...
The wind is blowing...
A very cold and chilly morning......
Yet there is a beautiful calm.......
To think that a little over a week ago
This is what it looked like.....
An early morning fog slowly disappearing
as the sun made its way up....
The cold and chilly temps are still there.....
just not as evident as in the snow.....
Another beautiful scene....
Sometimes....
That is how it is with our lives........
We are the same....
But change has come....
Maybe you are experiencing something different...
something new....
It may be difficult...
It may be exciting.....
or just a simple change of the weather......
Regardless....
Change can make us feel very alone.....
For the believer.....
One thing that is sure....
God will never leave us or forsake us...
He is always there...
Even when it seems he is not..
Even when things are changing around us....
He is still the same....
He can be the "beautiful calm"...
in the midst of life's changes....
A great place to turn when we are feeling abandoned-alone
or doubting God's existence
is the Bible......
God's Word reminds us that we don't always get to choose
how
or when we feel God,
But...
that He never abandons us......
even though we might not see or feel Him:
Joshua 1:9
"This is my command-
be strong and courageous!
Do not be afraid or discouraged.
For the LORD your God is with you
Wherever you go.." NLT
Psalm 119:89-90
"Your word, LORD, is eternal;
It stands firm in the heavens.
Your faithfulness continues through all generations...
NIV
May you be reminded today.....
God loves you....
He cares for even the smallest of need in your life.....
He is there!
Warm Winter Blessings!
PATTY
I had a wonderful time yesterday with the
"Grow your Blog"
Party...
I have met many new friends.....
I am so excited to get to know each of you better....
Welcome!
Beautiful thoughts to start out this Sunday! It is so true that our lives can change the way that they look in a moment.... So wonderful that we have someone who walks with us each moment. I love the word PARACLETE, which is the Holy Spirit who was given to us to 'WALK ALONGSIDE". Beautiful shots and so glad that i have met you! Blessings to you on this Sunday morning!

ReplyDeleteThanks for that great reminder this morning! I've been away from reading blogs for awhile and am just now getting back to it. Love your header!
ReplyDeleteWonderful post, thank you for reminding us how God is always at our side.
ReplyDeleteBless you, Cheryl
Love this beautiful post Patty. I have no words to describe how much I enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! The scripture from Joshua has long been special to me; we are told to BE strong and courageous, not to wait till we FEEL that way. So crucial. We don't depend on feelings but on faith. How glorious! Sending blessings and hugs from the farm!
ReplyDeleteJust so thankful that HE is the consistency in my seasons of change. Love the photos. I can't believe that there is a prediction of snow for this GA girl on Wednesday! That would be awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteHello Patty, yes, I agree, I also had a lovely time with the blog party meeting new people including you :)
ReplyDeleteLovely encouraging post
Hugs sharm
I loved reading this and seeing your lovely pictures! Your words are so true. I have been so sick for so long, it has crossed my mind, at times, that God has forsaken me. But, I know deep inside He has not. Thank you for your gentle reminders today. Love, Cheryl
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautifully written post, Patty, and your pictures are stunning! We don't get snow here, but what I remember most fondly about snow days in the Great Northwest, was that early morning quiet. You know, before the kids got out the sleds & snowballs were flying; it was like a big soft comforter had been laid across the landscape and all sounds were muffled. Such quiet bliss. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWow Patty, the picture with fog is truly amazing and the way you were able to capture it on camera is simply wonderful :) Thank you for this post - it was truly a sweet encouragement to visit today. Have a lovely Monday!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you!
Great post. The green grass looks so good. I'm not counting the winter away, but so eager for the spring. Keep warm and cozy!
ReplyDeleteChange can be hard, but it is comforting to know that His love never changes and He will always be with us, no matter what we're going through!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and a beautiful post!

So beautiful friend....just so very beautiful! And you are so right about change and loneliness. We all feel it and life is forever changing. What a great reminder to view the blessings around us. And I must say that your photos just took my breath away! I know this sounds crazy but the last photo (I believe that is your barn?) reminds me SO much of a painting my mom has hanging in my childhood home. It has such a familiarity to it....so neat! You have a fantastic week friend! Nicole
ReplyDeleteOh my heavens, what stunning photographs and what a beautiful message!

ReplyDeleteSuch an uplifting post. Thanks.
I have to ask... In the top photo of apples in the basket, what kind of apples are those? They look like red delicious, but they are so small!
Hello Patty,
