Today the forecast is calling
for
for
sleet, ice and snow.....
Oh No!
Oh No!
All three......
It can't be.....
I am dreading what this forecast is to bring......
But deep inside.....
But deep inside.....
Oh, how my soul yearns for Spring.......
Fresh cut flowers.......
sitting on my kitchen table
Open windows....
The smell of fresh cut grass......
Birds singing....
Bees buzzing.......
and flowers blooming.......
No more threat of snow
in the forecast constantly looming.............
No more threat of snow
in the forecast constantly looming.............
Please old Man Winter.........
Go away!
Let the flowers come out and play..........
Let the flowers come out to stay........
No more boots and gloves.....
No more hats and scarves.....
no more snow!
Let the March winds come
and
blow, blow, blow!
Until April arrives with it showers
and then May with all the flowers....
Until then....
I will sit cozy inside....
until old man Winter finally subsides......
I will not worry about what tomorrow will bring
but I am praying
Lord, please bring Spring!
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,
for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:34
until then......
Blessings!
Maybe Spring is just around the corner. Have a wonderful day of worship tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, my friend. Blessings.
Patty, I'm ready for winter to leave also. My little buttercups are coming up and have a few blooms.
ReplyDeleteHi Patty! It's so good to stop by and say hi. I thoroughly enjoyed your post and I just love those shoe planters :) Stay warm and safe, sweet lady!
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for Spring! Your flowers are beautiful! We are getting sleet and ice too! Stay warm and safe!
ReplyDeleteMiss Bloomers
Beautiful poetry Patty, I was caught at every word. Your photos are a great reminder that spring is just around the corner waiting its turn in the spotlight. I love the high heel shoes as planters. I've used a boot but these pretty girly shoes give your garden a sweet come and visit me look. Also, love your banner!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Sunday Dearest Patty.
~willa~
Have a nice sunday Patty...love and blessings for you darling....x !
ReplyDeleteWe here in the upper Midwest feel exactly the same way. Another 3" last night and an arctic blast for the next 3 days. UGH!
ReplyDeleteWe do have a bit of spring popping ut - the redbuds, daffodils, and tulip magnolias are blooming even if they are bent over from the effects of the terrible ice storm we had. The birds are sure spring is here. They begin singing early in the morning and continue past dark.
ReplyDeleteHappy March, Patty! These are lovely photos today. Your irises are so beautiful. Thanks for the images of spring to come. Have a blessed Sunday! Take care in the cold.
ReplyDeleteLovely post. I hear you. They're calling for snow here as well.. a lot.
ReplyDeleteIt'll come. What do they say - March: IN like a lion and out like a lamb.
I love that first photo of your cut flowers. So pretty. Hang in there my friend, and be safe and warm.
I'm longing for spring today, too --- temperatures are now in the high sixties and breezes are balmy. The cold air comes tomorrow. I loved your photos, and I love the Word of God! Here's something else: "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high because he has known My name He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation." Psalm 91: 24-26
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord for His goodness and mercy!!! Have a wonderful rest of the day.
Same weather report here...sigh...I am so ready for spring. I like the KJV version...evils because this is a wicked ole world.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful post Patty. Love them. Yes, I am ready for spring too. READY! But in Gods time, so we will wait.
ReplyDeleteYou always have such beautiful photos to go along with the beautiful word and thoughts, Patty!
ReplyDeleteWe are getting a storm tonight and tomorrow. I want spring too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I am also looking forward to Spring!!! Blessings, Tammy
ReplyDeleteAmen, sister! This winter has to go! Wanting so much to walk around and visit every bloom and whisper to every little bee along the way! We missed most of the storm and it went south of us! Hope you didn't get what was forecast there.
ReplyDeleteI have never said I was anxious for Spring until this year but yes, I am anxious and your post made me even more anxious--beautiful--love all of it!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. Winter has been too hard on us this year. I definitely looking forward to spring. I love to be in my garden. It is a place full of color and life. Thanks for visiting me and becoming a follower. It is so nice to make new friends. I am now following you also.

It's coming! This has been a hard winter, even for us in the South. But Spring is coming soon! The robins all over my yard tell me so. :o)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on this one! We got some ice and snow over the weekend and I am just so over it. Please come soon, spring!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flower arrangement in first picture!! This has been our second snowiest winter in history, and more to come tomorrow! I, too, am dreaming of spring!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem and images. I have not seen anyone growing plant in shoes!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. :) I know it is technically still winter until March 20-something, but I am ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteHi Patty, I feel much the same having been out in a cold rain all day. We are going to estate sales again in rain in the morning. I do have flowers blooming-forsythia and camellias. I wish you some flowers soon. Thanks for your sweet visit, Olive
