Red Velvet Cake

My most favorite cake ever is the Red Velvet.

So, I gave into my cravings and made one.......

No sooner than I could get the icing on, my husband had to have a piece.

I make the old fashioned cooked butter cream icing that many of the southern recipes use for red velvet cake. 

 I prefer it over the cream cheese.

Needless to say..........I have satisfied my craving over and over again over the past few days (yum).

So much for cutting back.......Maybe next week.
