HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!
From the writings of Paul in I Peter 1:2-9NIV
Grace and peace be yours in abundance!
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ for the dead,
and into an inheritance that can never perish,
spoil, or fade--kept in heaven
for you who through faith are shielded by God's power
until the coming of the salvation
that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
In this you greatly rejoice,
though now for a little while
you may have to suffer grief and all kinds of trials.
These have come so that your faith-
of greater worth than gold,
which perishes even though refined by fire-
may be proved geninuine and may result in
praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
Though you have not seen him, you love him;
and evn though you do not see him now,
you believe in him
and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,
for you are receiving the goal of your faith
the salvation of yours souls!
God's grace freely bestowed upon all those who believe!
How Wonderful!
In America, we have the freedom to worship where we want,
How we want,
and when we want!
Enjoy your Freedom!
To God be the Glory!
Blessings!

HI Patty,
ReplyDeleteOh, that Scripture is awesome and your photos are great :) :) :) Love them...My favorite was seeing the steps leading up to the covered front porch. I love those homes that have Craftsman style detail to them..that and the fact that you could maybe sit outside wh en it's raining and not get wet? :) :) Have a blessed Sunday and a Happy 4th of July weekend. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
I just love that passage of Scripture, Patty. Thank you for sharing this today. "That my faith may be proved to be genuine. . ." Makes all the fires we go through have a purpose, doesn't it? Have a great holiday, Patty!!!!
ReplyDeleteAmen Patty !! Thank You for sharing this Scripture with us ..... I am always uplifted when I come to visit.
ReplyDeleteMay God continue to Bless America !!
