Sweet Scripture Sunday!!!

Gray hair is a crown of splendor;
it is attained by a righteous life.

Proverbs 16:31

The glory of young men is their strength,
gray hair the splendor of the old.

Proverbs 20:29

Why is it we fight so hard against the very things that God says are okay?
Gray hair............Blah....
According to scripture, it is a good thing.
According to the world........not so good.
Growing old in the eyes of God
places us in a position that is to be respected.
As you can see my husband has embraced
the "gray" cycle of his life.
He always remarks, "I have earned everyone of them".....
Me.....not so much.
I am finding the "battle of the dark hair"
to be time consuming and expensive.
Still, I am not ready.
How about you?

Just a light note to remind us the Word of God has an answer to everything in Life.
Are you finding your answers in the Word of God?
Take time to read it daily.
It contains all the wisdom and guidance
that we need
for everyday life.

Blessings!

Patty

  4. Oh Patty- as my DH says, gray is better than bald. He has both going on. LOL
I don't color my hair. I have gray, but not that much and I have dark hair. I have friends who are so gray and they color their hair all the time. I have one friend who started going gray in her early 20s, and that I understand. Someone called her grandma when she took her kids to the grocery store.
But at this time in my life, I an embracing each new one. I can't wait to be snow white headed. I will still be wearing jeans and pulling my hair back in a pony tail. No old lady perms for me!

  6. How appropriate! I too fight the gray hair thing! I was recently ill and on bed rest for about 2 weeks and I couldn't believe how fast gray hairs can grow when they know you can't cover them up! Lol Have a blessed week!

  7. I do love that scripture, Patty!

I don't even know how many gray hairs I have now under the red! :) Right now, I'm thanking God for color in a bottle! I may change my mind one day, but although I don't mind aging, because I don't like the alternative, I do like coloring my hair! Jason has salt and pepper hair, which I love though! :)

    Blessings,
    Tammy
