Welcome to Word Wednesday!
Today's word is.......
WORK
Activity involving mental or physical effort
done in order to achieve a purpose or result..
We work at all sorts of things...
Work can be fun.
It can laborious.
It can be done well..
Or done not so well.....
We can work with our whole heart...
Or work half-heartily...
Work can be something we are proud of...
Gardening is not easy but the results of your Work
can be beautiful...
Re- purposing Old Furniture can be very rewarding work...

Who would have thought that an old bed could be a beautiful bench...
Re- purposed for a purpose....
Old doors and pallets...
Become things of beauty!

Did you know.......
The origin of work is found in the book of Genesis.
In the opening passage,
God is the primary worker,
busy with the creation of the world (Genesis 1:1-15).
The
Bible states that God worked for six days
and rested on the seventh day.
These
passages reveal that God was the first to do work on the earth.
Pretty amazing...huh?
So, legitimate work reflects the activity of God.
Because God is inherently good,
work is also inherently good
Psalm
25:8; Ephesians 4:28).
Wow!
This should change how we look at WORK....
In Genesis 1:31,
when God viewed the fruit of
His labor,
He called it “very good.”
God examined and assessed the quality of
His work,
and when He determined that He had done a good job,
He took pleasure
in the outcome.
YEAH!
That's another good reason to work well...
By this example, it is apparent that work should be productive.
Work should be done in a way
that produces the highest quality outcome.
The
reward for work is the honor and satisfaction
that comes from a job well done.
To work at something is a good thing...
To work at something is a good thing...
To work well at something is a God thing!
Here in blog land there is no shortage of great workers...
Faithful to the Work of the Lord.
Creative Workers.....
Dilligent Workers...
Work Well Ladies!
And....
May your work always be pleasing to the Lord....
Work willingly at whatever you do,
as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
Colossians 3:23
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might
Ecclesiastes 9:10
