Sweet Sunday Scripture....

Today the birds are singing.....

The grass is ooooooing and aaaahhhhhhhhing....

Even my old man face seems to be smiling........

Look close....

Oh yes he is........

Even pretty little Esther the cat......

I call her "Essie Pearl"...

A real Southern name.....

is basking in the warmth of the sun.....

Oh Yes, What a day Glorious Day this is.....

and tomorrow....

Even warmer...

Can I hear a big Woooo whooooo......

As I was walking through my flowers.....

My quirky little garden bug.....

A gift from my daughter....

Was laying there legs up......

I guess he thought the Winter was never going to end.......

Soon he will be turned over....

and stand proudly among all the beautiful blooms......

He is definitely a good bug

to have in the garden......

 Even the Daffodils seem to be bending and wilting.......

from the last cold snap and snow....

But they are beginning to reach up....

Reaching for the Sun....

Oh Mr. Sun....

The Blog Fog.....

I have been suffering from the "Blog Fog"

over the past few weeks....

You know what I mean when things are just not as clear 

as they should be.....

This never ending Winter does not help...

Nor the fact that my laptop continues to slowly die.....

You think it is hard for us...

Imagine how all the birdies are feeling..

One day hot..

One day cold..

Next day snow...

Face it Ladies...

There are times we should have to fight our way through...

Look at the brighter side of life....

Don't you just love the pop of red....

so unexpected.....

That is just what I decided to do.....

Look for color throughout my home....

 Notice the patina on that old silver platter behind the birdhouse...

and the Greens on the house....

Just lovely!

 I am really excited about my new rug in the Living area....

Oh the colors..

Can't wait to show you my finished area....

Do you ever have those days when you feel....

Well....

Not so good....

Maybe you're a little worse for the wear.....

You need a little boost..

You need someone to notice.....

To help you realize...

 even though you may not be perfect...

You have value.....

This little school desk sits in my family room...

The kids use it as a writing/drawing table...

From far off.. 

as in the pic above

It looks just fine....

but close up....

lots of scratches and dents....

lots of wear and tare....

Even a little dust has settled on the wood....

Just perfect anyway!

The little desk knows she has a wonderful purpose in our home...

I needed to find the perfect thing to place above this little desk...

When I saw this old mirror at an estate sale

I knew.....

Perfect!!!!

But not as a mirror....

As a chalkboard......

Do you notice what I have written on it?

Yep....

Speak Life!

There comes a time we all need to hear something positive...

Good words...

That give us life!

Beneath "Speak Life" I have this written;

In every encounter

We either Give life

Or Take life....

What are you Doing?

Do we take time to pay attention to those around us?

Are we aware that the very words we say 

have the power

 to

take life

or 

GIVE LIFE!

I have made this my theme for the year......

I want to "Speak Life" to anyone I meet........

On Facebook.....

In Blog Land.....

At the Grocery Store....

In our Ladies groups....

Bible Study....

Church.....

At Work...

At school....

At Play.....

Wherever....

Trying to pay attention..........

Looking beyond what you see.....

Paying attention to the distress in their eyes.....

The wear on their faces....

The statements they make......

The smile that covers a multitude of hurt.....

Being aware....

Learning to speak words of encouragement...

words of blessing...

Words of Life!

Death and life are in the power of the tongue,

 and those who love it will eat its fruits.

sweetness to the soul and health to the body.

Today the forecast is calling 
for 

sleet, ice and snow.....
Oh No!

All three......

It can't be.....

I am dreading what this forecast is to bring......
But deep inside.....

Oh, how my soul yearns for Spring.......

Fresh cut flowers.......

sitting on my kitchen table

Open windows....

The smell of fresh cut grass......

 Birds singing....

Bees buzzing.......

and flowers blooming.......

No more threat of snow
 in the forecast constantly looming.............

Please old Man Winter.........

Go away!

Let the flowers come out and play..........

 Let the flowers come out to stay........

No more boots and gloves.....

No more hats and scarves.....

no more snow!

Let the March winds come 

and 

blow, blow, blow!

Until April arrives with it showers

and then May with all the flowers....

Until then....

I will sit cozy inside....

until old man Winter finally subsides......

I will not worry about what tomorrow will bring

but I am praying 

Lord, please bring Spring!

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,

for tomorrow will worry about itself.

 Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 6:34
