Wow!
Has it been almost 2 months since my last post...
Shame on me........
Here...
Beautiful flowers...
Just for you....
and a big ...
I am sorry......
No, I did not pass on....
No injuries or diseases.....
Just lots of projects...
New ministry opportunities..
And...
Just life Happening.....
I plead "busy"ness....
Maybe a few "project pics" will help my case.......
This is our "almost" finished pergola....
Pergola: an archway in a garden or park
This is our "almost" finished pergola....
Pergola: an archway in a garden or park
- consisting of a framework
- covered with trained climbing
- or trailing plants.
This one still needs paint....
Or maybe not...
What do you think?
Let me know....
I have lots of flowers hanging and planted all around...
But no climbing vines....
Yet...
But someday soon.....
I hope you have noticed my white porch swing in the background...
Just in case you missed it....
Here is another view......
and please...
check out my wonderful blue rockers...
Sweet!
can you see the old brick flooring?
Love!
Lets not talk about all the mulching and weed pulling I have yet to do..
That is the type of "busy"ness I hate.....
No, lets focus on the old porcelain tub I turned into a great fountain....
(with the help of my hubby...shshshhhhh)
I want you to think I did this all by my little self.....
Don't you just love the sound of running water....
Especially as you rock or swing away all your cares....
It is coming together....
"slowly but surely"......
as we say here in Kentucky....
Yes, I think this project is coming together nicely....
Thanks ladies for all your encouragement to come back....
I will be visiting all of you too..
Meanwhile.....
More Pretty flowers
just for you....
Wonderful Flower filled Blessings to all of you!
PATTY
Life sure does get in the way of blogging doesn't it? Been there myself way too often, Your flowers are beautiful and that white swing and the tub, oh my goodness! You sure have a knack for things. Love it!
ReplyDeleteOoooh Patty, lovely visit here today! I felt relaxed as you took us through your gorgeous place. I think I shall sit a spell in those beautiful rockers and just enjoy. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have sure been busy, and it all looks great! I think you can do either with the pergola, paint it or leave it.
Good to see you again!
Joy to you! Debbie
Patty, welcome back! No need to apologize, blogging sure take lots of time, and sometimes there's other things to do! I love your backyard and everything you've done! Love those blue rockers too! Will you plant wisteria? That would be lovely. and I agree, the sound of running water is so peaceful and calming.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful... all around. Your "heart"work shows - the love of your home and gardening. I don't blame you one bit -
ReplyDeleteThanks for filling us in on all your fun stuff. I like the natural look but then again a shade lighter of blue to mimic the rockers might be fun for your pergola.

I love busy-ness! No apologies needed, Patty! Your pergola is gorgeous, and your tub fountain is very, very cool. Such wonderfulness.
ReplyDeletePatty, It was worth the wait - beautiful yard - love the tub fountain.
ReplyDeleteHi Patty, your gardens, porch and home are beautiful this Spring. I certainly understand "busy"ness, I am in the same boat.
ReplyDeletePatty, I followed you from, Cheryl at Homespun Devotions and so glad I did. Love your pictures also, your house is so cute. We loved our time years ago when we lived outside of Hazard, Ky. Our mission, New Tribes had a training center in the mountains. We fell in love with the people and the area and could have stayed there but God had different plans for us. I have left a little piece of my heart in every place we have lived for God taught me in each place to trust Him with all the changes He had for me. Glad I stopped by, your post is refreshing.
ReplyDeleteWow...looks like you have been very busy! I love your pergola! Such a beautiful addition to your place.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your post!
Miss Bloomers
Very pretty!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't paint, it will age nicely, but I like that look.
Enjoy your beautiful spaces this Summer.
Glad your back
Earlene
So happy you are back!! I am so thankful nothing was wrong...I had noticed you hadn't posted in a while and was concerned. So happy to know that you are just enjoying life. About your pictures here...all I can say is WOW!! Just gorgeous! Makes me long to head towards that welcoming porch, sit down, and share a glass of tea with you. :) You have done a GREAT job. I absolutely adore the old tub with the fountain. YES, I LOVE the sound of running water!! It relaxes me every time. I once kept an old, dilapidated fish tank...without any fish left in it, I might add, JUST so I could keep hearing the sound of the water flowing!! Oh, my...I'm so silly. You and I have so much in common...seems like we like so many of the same things. God bless you, my friend. :)
ReplyDeleteMissed this post. Love the blue rockers and your landscape is awesome. I love the old tub and the water pump. This is such a nice post!
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see you back! I took about 2 mos. off while we prepared to move. It is nice to be back in blogland. Your pergola, flowers, chairs, and swing are just lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect place to sit out with a glass of iced tea or lemonade. So glad to see you back!
ReplyDeletePatty, I had been wondering if you were okay. Now I know why you were missing. I love, love it! The bath tub was a great ideal and blue rockers give it a magazine touch. Beautiful !
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, Patty, but you really never need excuses or forgiveness for living life! Your pergola is just gorgeous. I think the natural wood contrast is gorgeous, and painting it will mean continued painting over the years....hmmm? I'm in love with those turquoise rockers -- my most favorite color!
ReplyDeleteThis is a busy time of year for everyone it seems! I can never keep up but here in Florida, I will stay inside more when it's hot like this week. I noticed the water coming from the rusty fixture in your banner and thought how neat! I'm glad you mentioned it here! Happy summer my friend! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is the Lord puts you in some gorgeous places! I would love to sit in one of those rockers, drink coffee or sweet tea and talk! Absolutely beautiful, where you are.
ReplyDeleteIf you want paint, what about a water sealant with, or without, a stain? I wouldn't paint it...if you grow a climbing "something or other", when it needs painting again...and it will...it'll be hard as the dickens to paint around the climbing something or other. It's beautiful and will provide a lot of happy memories.
ReplyDeleteNot sure my comment went through...if you want paint, consider a tinted wood sealant. If you start painting and then planting a climbing vine, eventually the pergola will need painting. Having a climbing vine will make it hard as the dickens to paint; I'd leave it alone or put a clean water sealant on it.
ReplyDeleteIf that's pressure treated wood, you have to wait a while to paint or seal; I don't believe it'll take either while "new".
