As many of you know, during my last post I proclaimed to the world my obsession with collecting things. As long as I am coming clean I thought I may as well share with you yet another one of my collections.........
My love for baskets.......
One of my favorites is the handmade egg or garden basket.
I have a grouping of these hanging over each of the windows in the kitchen.
I also have some hanging on an old coat rack. I thought this was a creative way to display them.
I also have several longaberger baskets hanging on an old rack from the ceiling.
Did I mention how much I love baskets? Well, this is a grouping of old picnic baskets that I stacked upon top of each other. They are also useful for storing things in.
This is an old basket that I bought at an auction several years ago. It is very old. I stuffed it with several handmade ornaments during Christmas.
I love this handmade rag basket. I have it sitting in my living room with little red apples.
Baskets are such useful items to have around the house. This one sits on top of my fridge. I use it to store my plate racks in until I need them for larger dinners.
Yes, I do love baskets! How about you?
Blessings to you and enjoy your Day!
Patty
Oh, my word, if you could see how many baskets I have in my house!! I have one for any occasion that arises!! I love baskets...there is just something that feels "comfortable" about putting things in a basket!
ReplyDeletePatty, Thank you for your kind words on my blog about our 40th Anniversary. We have been in the ministry for 25 years too......all served at the same church!
Thank you again....you have a sweet blog!
Blessings!
Lord, please help me with my feelings of jealousy and envy!!!!!! I just LOVE those baskets. Beyond love! And you have them all arranged so beautifully. I can't even think about starting to collect one more thing. No more room and I love the stuff I've got. I have about 30 butter molds now. I think that is my most favored collection.

ReplyDeleteHi Patty,
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by.
I love baskets too and have several. Actually, I have a few that are unused :( I have to be careful with them b/c my cats like to use them as scratching posts. Sadly, many of my treasures are in closets not being enjoyed by moi :(

ReplyDeletePatty....I always enjoy your sweet visits and comments. I have a basket obsession too. I just love them. I have 4 of the antique picnic baskets stacked in my dining room. Thet are terrific for storing things. A couple weeks ago I was rummaging thru the basket bin at the Goodwill and found 2 Longaberger baskets....I just about hyperventilated, lol. I shelled out a whole $1.00 for both of them :)
