I love quilts.....even though, I am not a quilter. I am a quilt collector. There is nothing more comforting than a big cozy quilt. I have them everywhere.......
On my bed for a warm cozy night of sleep....
More color and patterns on a quilt ladder in my living room.....
Folded and put on display in an antique china Cabinet.......
I find that if I am feeling lonely and sad...
I just wrap up in a quilt and things are not so bad............
All the colors and patterns bring me good cheer.....
A work of art to decorate with all year.....
Any season, any time...
a quilt around me or beside me....is just fine!
On the wall or on the bed
or as a piece of art...
A quilt is truly a masterpiece from the heart!
take time to enjoy a quilt and to all the quilters out there...Thank you!
Blessing and have a joyous day!
Patty
I love all your quilts and how you display them...I enjoyed your post...
ReplyDeleteI agree with you whole heartedly! I love quilts! When my son was little each time he got a fever I naturally reached for a quilt, because it was warm but not too heavy to make him more hot. He began to call one of the quilts "the sick blanket". 12 years later we still have the sick blanket and use it when anyone is under the weather! So comforting!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful quilts you have, Patty. quilts are such a necessary item from the past. when you think those were stitched by someone with love to keep their families warm it brings tears to your eyes. What a wonderful collection you have.

Patty,
ReplyDeleteYour quilts are beautiful, what a nice collection. I love the way you have them displayed. I love the Bible verse as well. Many Blessings.
Your quilts are gorgeous. When I snuggle up in one of Granny's quilts it is almost like she is giving me a great big hug!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts, Patty. I have a quilt on my bed, but it is not homemade. I love the look of quilts, but simply cannot afford them. They do have such a feeling of warmth and love thou.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Tonya
You do have alot of quilts, don't you? You have them displayed so nice. I've always wanted one of those ladder things but haven't gotten around ot it yet. I love the vibrant colors in the first picture with the little house int he corner. Luscious!
ReplyDeleteOh Patty, this quilters heart is touched! I love quilts as well...when I make one I spend a lot of time in prayer for the person who will receive the quilt I am working on. To me a quilt is a great big hug from someone special.
ReplyDeleteTake care friend.
Nancy
HI dear Patty,
ReplyDeleteI'm so in awe of ANYONE who quilts...Nancy is quite the quilter as well and I just love when she posts about something she has created and now I get to follow yours as well. I wish I could truly be a quilter. I'm a novice sewer and love to but certainly not a quilter. Yours are so pretty and cozy looking.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving me such sweet comments. Have a wonderful Tuesday!! ;0)

I love a quilt as well. I have a few that were handmade by my best friend. I sleep under a ratty old quilt each night and even though it is falling apart it is still warm with the love from a chosen sister.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning collection you have. thank you for sharing.
