Sweet Sunday Scripture...

Have you ever felt lost?

For the first time in a long time I am feeling out of sorts...
ie..lack of posts.....

Do not get me wrong...
I am loving our new home.....
The land is beautiful....
We have lots of work to do on both the inside and outside...
BUT...

I never realized that being only 25 minutes from one of the larger cities in Ky
would be considered such a "rural" area.

I am a true blue "Hillbilly" girl..
Yes, I am a mountain girl through and through...
A Coal Miners daughter....
I know what a "holler" is...
(a small road between two huge mountains)

No mattered how remote the area.....
I have always had my choice of Internet services.....
You would think if Internet services can make it between these mountains...
it would be available anywhere

Especially in these beautiful rolling hills

I thought moving my Internet services would be easy.
Go on line...
register a move...
Wha...laaaa..
Easy.....right?
NO!!
I received a phone call...
"I am sorry we do not service that area".
"Who does?"
"not sure..."
After many contacts to other services...
"No, we do not service that area..."
Finally, I had to put in a home phone to receive a slower service..
(I have not had a land line phone for  many years)

But hey....
I have Internet....

What have I learned....?

I miss all my blog sisters more than I would have realized...

Sometimes it is good to slow things down.......

Talk with your husband more...

The greatest thing I have learned.....

Regardless of where I may live..
God knows exactly where I am...
He is always there....
Never out of touch.....
and He cares about even the little things in my life....

But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
I give Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you.
Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you,
I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life.
Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east,
and from the west I will gather you. ...

Isaiah 43:1-7 ESV

So, I am back....
Counting my blessings...
and thanking God for His daily watch care and renewed Grace..

BLESSINGS!

PATTY

  1. Patty I see you have moved already. I had quite the house showing experience this weekend. I am just in Gods hands and waiting on HIs will. Cannot wait to see pictures of your new home. Looks like you have a lot of land.

  3. Hi Patty, I'm glad to see you back here and even more pleased that the Lord is with you! Pray that companies would upgrade the area..yesterday at church there was a testimony from our church school saying exactly that. The internet was extremely slow and companies here told them nothing could or would be done. Then one of them decided to use the school as a testing ground for optic fibre at a low cost and now they have super fast internet! Praise God!

  5. Glad to see you back Patty...moves are scary enough but to be out of contact with the things we have come to take for granted is scary but you put it in the right perspective...love it.
    Blessings,

  7. I am soooo happy to see you are back! I have been wondering about you. I tried to email you about a week ago actually to check in but it wouldn't send my email! I just figured you were busy moving but wanted to make sure all was well :)

We had to get satellite internet when we moved out to the country and it can be really slow, but it's better than nothing!

  9. Well I'm glad you're up and running Patty! I'm sorry you had a time getting your internet service up and running but thankful you're on now... and look forward to hearing more from you! For a long time here we had to use wildblue because there wasn't high speed here. It was okay except if there was a storm anywhere we were without service of course. That was hard getting used to. Anyways... I'm thinking of you tonight and hope the transitions get easier for you. Lea

  10. Bless your heart, Patty. I'm glad you have internet but I know what you mean about having more time when you're not blogging...lol! Guess it's about balancing it all out. :) We have a mini tower in our house to be able to get internet. It's not the fastest, but like you said, at least we have internet....and it's not dial-up.

Those pics you showed were beautiful! What a beautiful place!

    Blessings,
    Tammy

  11. Patty, I am glad you were able to get your internet service!! Technology can be frustrating at times. I experienced a similar circumstance when I moved to my apartment. I was without internet for several weeks, but like you, I learned to enjoy the peace and quiet. I didn't even have television for a while. I read more and did crossword puzzles and generally just took life at a slower pace. It was nice! Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit at Bunny Cottage today. Have a blessed and very happy weekend, sweet friend~ Vicki

  12. You moved?! I guess it has been awhile since I popped in here to visit. Oh, technology.. a blessing and a curse all in one, on so many levels. I feel your pain! This was an inspiring and timely post, and I hope things get much better soon. It's good to "see" you again, and guess I'd better catch up! ;) -Tammy
