Sweet Sunday Scripture

My Neighbors...........

Yes,
These "ladies" are my neighbors...
Aren't they just gorgeous with their big eyes and white faces..

There is just one thing.....

They are not very "neighborly"....
Every time I walk near to chat..
they either turn their heads
or walk away...

Or give me that funny sorta look......

They seem to love my dog Max...

of course, he does not care for them.........

He can walk toward the fence
and they happily walk toward him

Max, on the other hand...
growls and barks....
I think he sees them as big ugly dogs.
Who seem to be intruding on his territory...

Speaking of territory....

The whole cow thing makes me think of God...

I know you are laughing... :)
and thinking
WHAT?
But
Scripture says:

Psalms 50:10
For every beast of the forest is mine,
the cattle on a thousand hills.

This is a great reminder that the Lord our God
Our provider....
 owns it all.

Psalm 24:1 says that

“The earth is the LORD’s,
and all its fullness,
the world and those who dwell therein.”

Yes, my neighbors are cows
and are not very neighborly
but

a constant reminder
of Who God is...

and that all this is His..
(even un-neighborly cows)

We are just blessed
to be the caretakers of it all..

Have a blessed week!

Blessings!

Patty

  2. Love this. My neighbors are horses! They are so pretty to watch. Yes, our God is in control of all the creation. I am so blessed to know Him personally. Our Amelia has hit 3 lbs and .1 ounce.

  3. This is too funny because I can totally relate. We have cows across the street from us and when they are up close to the fence, I go over there to visit with them. They often just run away from me. How rude! Haha :)

  8. You're right, we are the care takers of it all. When I was about 9 years old my folks moved onto a heifer farm. There were possibly 25 heifers who lived there. I would go out to the fence where they were in the evening and I would sing to them. They seemed to love it. Perhaps if you sang to them they would not move away from you.
    Have a wonderful day!
