I love all things beautiful......
But I tend to want things to be beautiful instantly.......
I tend to want it done now....
I want to close my eyes and have my home look all perfect
Yet.....
Yet.....
I open them up........:)
and quickly realize
and quickly realize
NOT HAPPENING!!!......:(
My answer to immediate satisfaction for the beautiful.....
Pinning......
I pin all things beautiful on my boards...
Pinning......
I pin all things beautiful on my boards...
Its like going shopping but you do not have to buy.....
or walk....
or try on things...
or carry things.....
or walk....
or try on things...
or carry things.....
I love that....
Pinterest is full of beautiful things.....
All pics are via Pinterest......
All pics are via Pinterest......
Beautiful clothes.....

Beautiful homes.....

Beautiful shoes......

Beautiful furniture......
I could get lost pinning furniture.........

Yes, Tammy over at our Neck of the Woods....
I am going to have one someday.......
Tammy, is my fix for all things chicken......:)
Just love her!!!
Yes, as I sit in my family room......
Pinning....
I look around and realize....
My home may not be finished yet
But
in time it will be......
be beautiful......
Meanwhile.....
I will find satisfaction in my work
and have an attitude of gratitude...
Thankful that I can labor....
That God has given me a work to do...
Realize the fruit of my labor is a gift from God...
and actually see my work as a way to serve God....
To understand that I am a work in progress too.....
God is still working on me.....
and he is not finished yet
"and He has made everything beautiful in its time...."
Ecclesiastes 3:11
and by the grace of God....
I will finish this work in my home
and it will be beautiful in time...
and
as I work daily at whatever I do.....
I will be beautiful to Him.......
To God be the glory!
Beautiful Blessings to you all!
PATTY
Great post and I think we all are that way, wanting it now and not wanting to wait. But making a house into a home takes time and thought and love. Some elbow grease doesn't hurt either, but it will so be worth the wait. Love your pins. Inspiration comes from all sources.
ReplyDeletePatty, Your home is beautiful. I to enjoy Pinterest, such great ideals.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful thoughts, dear Patty - thank you for sharing with us. It is so easy to get consumed with wanting all that is beautiful and like you said, wanting is immediately, yet there is such wondrous beauty in the small things, the simple things of life :)
ReplyDeleteHave a most blessed week and thank you for the lovely comment on my blog - it's always a treat to hear from you. Take care.
You are a beautiful lady and I thank God our paths have crossed. I don't believe in coincidence so He crossed them. Your home is beautiful, our homes will never be perfect because we live in them. Mine is very quiet right now, but God is in it.. I loved this post as I do all of yours. BTW I could really like those boots.lol
ReplyDeleteLove this post! I must say, I love to cook and travel and decorate vicariously through Pinterest as well.

ReplyDeleteI agree!! For me Pinterest feeds the "collector" in me without spending any money :) And as long as we can let go of the "perfection" of it all...it can be a great escape...
ReplyDeleteHi Patty, Love this post and all things beautiful. It seems we are never really done with our homes, it is always a work in progress, but I am sure yours is beautiful because of the dear people who live there, like you.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and your kind comment. More of the prairie is on the way mid week.
Wishing you all the best in the new year and many blessings my friend.
hugs
Awww, thank you for the sweet shout out! That is one pretty chicken coop. I can't wait to see yours someday :) Lots of lovely images in this post. Pinterest is such a fun site to peruse!
ReplyDeleteLove the Scripture you shared and I am quite fond of Pinterest! So many beautiful things there, it truly is a feast for the eyes.

Lovely post! I think most of us prefer the finished, beautiful stage of things. I think it does us good to learn that hard work and patience must come before we are rewarded with beauty.
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait to see your home when it is finished, but I know your desire to see it is much greater than anyone else's. I hope it all turns out perfectly for you. :o)
Great pics and promise! I especially like that garden photo!! Thanks for the encouragement. Bless you
ReplyDeleteAlways a work in progress...maybe one day we'll be finished! Me too, love pinning...
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
Evening Patti, I too, LOVE pinterest! And Yes, I am always a work in progress...physically and spiritually! Many things will have to be finished upon moving into the cottage also......We would have hoped to finish most but ??? I was thinking we would move around April or May.....probably not. It's nice to know there are others doing what we are doing...renovating. It inspires! Blessings~~~Roxie
ReplyDeletePinterest is such a wealth of beautiful photos and great ideas. I love looking at other bloggers boards! Enjoy your weekend! Hugs!
ReplyDeletePatty,
ReplyDeleteSweet Winter Blessings to you.
I am in the same boat about wishing the remodeling were done. It is so very slow around here that it truly is a work in progress. The waiting is a lost art form that I have had to resurrect. Ouch. Painfully difficult at times.

Glad to see others are just as addicted to Pinterest as I am! I can be a "Pinning Maniac" at times. I think whoever came up with this concept is nothing short of brilliant. I have gotten so much valuable info and use it everyday for references. I am now following you on Pinterest!
ReplyDeleteLove the song, In His Time, In His Time, He makes all things beautiful, In His Time. Lord, my life to you I bring. May each song I have to sing, be to you a lovely thing, in Your Time. I can't remember the other verses, but I like it. Maybe I'll have to blog about it.
