Each "Sweet Scripture Sunday" in February
will focus on a Love verse from the Bible...

Today's verse comes from what is know as
the LOVE chapter in the Bible
I Corinthians Chapter 13

The verses in I Corinthians's 13 1-7
give us a comprehensive
description of love.
  Paul explains to us the practical side of "agape" love.
That is the love that God shows to us.
 It is a love that is shown in how it responds to life's challenges
and more importantly how we live our lives day by day.
The passage does not focus so much upon what love is,
but upon what love does and does not do.
And in a world of Do's and Don't's
This should make LOVE easy for us to understand

I guess you could call it a "LOVE"  test....
"Love is patient,
 love is kind.
 It does not envy,
it does not boast,
it is not proud.
5 It does not dishonor others,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.
 7 It always protects,
always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

    Your banners are terrific. Thanks for choosing one of my favorite verses. I also think of Song of Songs when I think of love in the scriptures.

    One of my favorites. It speaks so clearly of what love does and does not do.Like the rest of the scriptures, it is timeless.
