Today.....
As I sit in my dining area
and look through the many windows
that surround me,
I see snow falling.
It is an extremely cold day!
There are windows in front of me.
Windows on each side of me.
Windows........
They are a big part of the structure of our homes.
Windows....
Are not only to look through.
but an old window is great for decorating.
In my home....
I have old windows hanging everywhere.
I love them!
This one I purchased at an auction around 10 years ago.
It is sitting in the top shelf of our entertainment center.
My husband bought this one as a birthday present many years ago.
It is hanging over my kitchen sink.
Another one............
hanging over my bed.......
On the wall at my back door........
This is a grouping in our "small" sitting area.
The old window in the center
came out the home my husband grew up in.
Priceless.......
Regardless of what is going on outside your window today.
I pray the light of the "Son" is shinning through your life.
and remember.......
A window is not just for looking through
but also great to look at.
Blessings!
Patty
I just love your windows so much!!!! I have them hanging all around, too. I remember once going by a "junk yard" in Virginia and there were stacks and stacks and stacks of windows. I wanted them ALL!!!! I settled on a few, and they rank up there as my favorite posessions. Thank you for the tour of windows throughout your new home!!!! And I just LOVED those stitcheries!!!! Did you do those?????

I Love windows too Patty..I have one out in my Rose Garden and even have a wreath hanging on it and a curtain (The wreath was a suggestion from another blogger when I asked for ideas to decorate the window) I also have a window on the inside of 2 windows in my sewing / computer room. Looks like we both have something in common. Thank you for visiting my blog and for your nice comment :)

Your style is so warm and inviting. I too love stained glass windows, I like how you dressed up the space above your sink, very cool.
ReplyDeleteI love all your windows and that grouping in the sitting area. So cozy looking. I'm a window person too!
ReplyDeleteI love old worn windows as well as stained glass and my windows have to be open to let the sunlight in.
I love your big windows. I always feel better and more positive when there is a lot of natural light. And you have some great ideas for decorating with windows, too. I also want to say thank you for the encouraging words you left on my blog. They mean a lot!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your windows. I'm always on the lookout for old ones. I think your snow would be fun to look at...through a window where it is warm on the other side.
ReplyDeleteHi Patty,
ReplyDeleteWell I just love all your old windows..new ones too, but the charm of an old window frame is just beautiful to me! I love the one that used to be in your husband's home. That is just precious!! Hope you are enjoying your snow winter wonderland through all your beautiful windows! I think snow falling is so peaceful. Have a wonderful week!
